Philosophy: I believe in fully evaluating a student's golf game through measurements and testing. Based on a player’s baseline statistics and natural athleticism, we work together on a process to fix swing flaws and improve skills.
Biography: I grew up playing hockey. After one year of NCAA Division I Hockey, I suffered a knee injury. That summer I started working at a golf course and never looked back. Like most of you, I was hooked to the challenges of golf and put in countless hours to become a scratch golfer. I have been working in the golf industry since 2010. I was apprenticed under the Director of Raspberry Golf Academy Patrick McGuire for two years learning all the game has to offer.

Philosophy: "Simplicity of Motion" I believe my students see the most improvements when I train them to use the body to swing the club in an athletic motion. This is the most repeatable form. Science and technology can measure how the body is designed to perform the golf swing efficiently. Using my knowledge of the golf swing, cutting edge technology and a trained eye, I effectively communicate this to help my students reach their goals.

Don Frost has been a Class A PGA Golf Professional since 1994 and has given over 30,000 lessons, accumulating a wide range of experience in golf. He first learned to play golf at the age of five and began working at a golf course at the age of 14, setting the course for a lifelong career in the golf industry. From Florida to Maryland, he has worked at various golf facilities.
Don boasts an exceptional golfing career, having competed three times in the Maryland State High School tournament and twice in the College National tournament. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and was sponsored to play professionally on various tours in Florida. During this time, he participated in hundreds of tournaments, winning numerous events. Furthermore, Don has successfully coached winners on the PGA, Champions, and LPGA Tours. His students include Walker Cup contestants, men's and women's college All-Americans, and National Drive, Chip, and Putt contestants at Augusta National.
What sets Don apart as a golf instructor is his unique perspective on golf instruction. His commitment to improving his own game led him to seek out the best instructors in golf. After competing in his first professional tournament, he realized the need to further develop all aspects of his golf game. Don sought guidance from Hall of Fame Instructor Bob Toski, who remains his teacher and mentor to this day. Alongside Mr. Toski, Don has worked with esteemed coaches such as Chuck Cook, Martin Hall, Cameron McCormick, James Sieckmann, David Orr, Dr. Bob Rotella, and Dr. Greg Rose of TPI (Titleist Performance Institute). These coaches have played a significant role in Don's development as both a player and a coach.
As a coach, Don does not believe in the idea of a set "method" or "swing model." He believes that every golfer is a unique individual with different body types, strengths, and desires, thus advocating for a collaborative approach between student and coach. Michael Breed taught Don the importance of "listening and communicating" intently with students, while Butch Harmon emphasized the significance of nurturing each student's individual potential rather than trying to mold them into Tiger Woods or Lexi Thompson.
Don is entirely focused on his students, utilizing the latest golf technology such as Sportsbox AI 3D, Foresight launch monitor, high-speed V1 video, and Ping putting sensor. With three decades of experience, he guides his students on "what to do" and "why you should do it," helping them narrow their focus to achieve a state of "FLOW" associated with timely feedback and appropriate challenges.
Passionately dedicated to improving his students, Don employs a holistic golf approach centered on the "Four Cornerstones of Golf" – swing technique, short game, self-management, and course management. His goal is to create the most positive environment for students to thrive by engaging, educating, entertaining, encouraging, and evaluating. In the words of Einstein, "From the complicated find simplicity as the answer. Then take that simple concept and take it seriously." Don aims to pass on the knowledge imparted by his mentors, which has positively impacted his life both inside and outside of golf, to all his students.

Maybe you too have already had your A-ha moment with this incredible game and have been forever bitten by the golf bug? Chances are if you’re reading this you probably have! The great thing about this game is that no one has ever completely mastered it and if they’ve come close, they no doubt were humbled by it at some point during the journey…
I’ve spent the last 20 years as a pro chasing the dream of playing golf for a living and although for a variety of reasons I may not have attained that ultimate goal of winning on the PGA Tour, I have lived life to it’s fullest and I’ve gained a plethora of knowledge about golf and life in the process.
In the golf business as a PGA Member for the last 18 years, I’ve been a cart kid, an assistant pro, a teaching pro, a Head Pro and a General Manager all over this great country! At times when I was trying to play for a living I’ve moonlighted as a busboy, a fine-dining server, a bartender, a shuttle bus operator, a pool boy, a home renovator, a bum check collections agent, you name it!
But the one thing that all of these activities always centered around was that obsession with golf. I worked all of these jobs, just so I could constantly be around the game I loved so much. Golf is my passion and I’d love to share that passion with you!

My goal as a golf coach is not only to make you a better golfer, but also to have you enjoy the game as much as I do.
In high school, my sister worked at a golf club, and that is where my journey began with golf. With access to the course, I found myself hooked on the thrill of the game. What started as a recreational hobby evolved into a passion that shaped the course of my career.
Now, I am committed to sharing that passion with my students. I want to make learning golf as enjoyable for you as it was for me. We will work on the mechanics of your game so you can feel confident and have fun out on the course from tee to green. “Every shot counts. The three foot putt is just as important as the 300 yard drive” -Henry Cotton

Jim’s teaching philosophy encompasses a holistic approach that focuses on improvement of performance by addressing such factors such as a physical assessment, a skills assessment, mental approach, and course management. Jim believes that a player should swing according to their body type rather than fighting natural tendencies. He identifies the source of an individual’s physical power and consistency based on each body type and identifies physical limitations. He can then provide instruction on how to improve elements of strength and flexibility that allow the mechanics of the golf swing to be applied more easily. Jim’s goal is to motivate each student to get results on the course. He has a burning passion to get better each day at his craft. Empowering his students with an empathetic mindset. His faith has helped him to learn how to be vulnerable with his students and family. Establishing trust ensures students will be with him for life.
Jim was first introduced to the game at the age of 7 by his father with a set of Sam Snead Young Champs. Seeing the bond that his dad and grandfather shared through the game kept him in the game, and he began to compete with a friend in the neighborhood, seeing who could hit closest to different trees in the neighbor’s yards. His first golf related job in 1978 was at Burning Tree Club as a caddie where he had the honor of working with Past PGA of America President Max Elbin. Jim went to college at University of Maryland where he studied Economics. He then turned pro in 1988 and was elected to PGA Membership in 1993.
Jim Estes began his professional career at Bonnie View CC in 1991 as an Assistant Pro for Jeff Sprague, during his time there he was the 1991 Assistants Champ. Jim then moved to Evanston Golf Club and served as the Assistant Pro under Illinois PGA Hall of Fame Member Hal Member from 1992-1995. During his time there he earned honors as the 1994 Assistants Champ, 1995 Illinois PGA Player of the Year, and the 1995 PGA National Player of the Year. From 1996-2000 Jim played on the Nike Tour and PGA Tour, winning the Inland Empire on the Nike Tour and becoming a PGA Tour member in 1998. After his time playing on tour Jim become the Director of Instruction at Onley, Golf Park from 2001-2012. During that time, Jim was recognized as Golf Magazines 2008 Innovator of the Year, in that same year he received the President’s Award and was recognized as the MAPGA Player of the Year. In 2013, Jim became the Owner/ Operator of Jim Estes Golf and has continued that through present. From 2008 to present Jim has been awarded the GRAA Growth of the Game Award and was on the Golf Digest list of Best Teachers in Maryland in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2022.

Coaching Philosophy: "Make the swing as simple and appropriate for the student in front of me."
Every golfer is unique. Each person has a unique set of movements that they do well and could improve on to enjoy the game more. My goal is to evaluate students, make the body-swing connection, and work within the framework of what they can physically do to reach their full potential.

Philosophy
As a golf performance coach, I believe that golf is more than just a game of skill; it’s a reflection of life itself. Every swing, every putt, and every shot presents an opportunity for growth, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. True mastery comes not from chasing perfection, but from embracing the process—the ups and downs, the successes and setbacks. Golf teaches us resilience, patience, and the importance of focusing on the present moment. It's not about how many times you fail, but how quickly you recover and learn from those experiences. The best golfers aren't those who never miss—they're the ones who rise stronger after each challenge.

Testimonials
“I cannot express enough gratitude for the impact Marcus Park has had on my golf career. From the moment I started working with him, my game has transformed in ways I never thought possible. Not only has he refined my technique and improved my consistency, but he has also completely reshaped my perspective on the game. He has been my greatest influence and motivation to take my game to the next level. Marcus has taught me that golf is not just about mechanics-it’s about mindset, strategy, and resilience, coming to the golf course everyday with the mindset of working towards improvement not just the scores on a scorecard. His ability to break down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps has made improvement both effective and enjoyable. More importantly, he has helped me develop a deeper understanding of the mental and strategic aspects of the game, allowing me to approach each round with confidence.” - Anthony Saienni
“I have been working with Marcus for the past six months and am beyond pleased with the results. Rather than forcing a particular system or swing, he has worked with me on building a repeatable swing that I feel comfortable with and can consistently repeat. Rather than just trying to align swing planes or face angles according to a launch monitor he continually probes at the connection between the mind and body. He approaches the problem from a variety of angles, presenting a menu of cues to find one that I can relate to the best. He works with your thought process as much as he works on the swing. With each lesson we have built, block-by-block, my golf game. Additionally he continues to offer support outside of the lesson by suggesting helpful content to solidify topics we've gone over during the lesson. Whether it is at the range, in the gym or on the course Marcus offers timely feedback in a friendly manner. It is not just one-way coaching but a collaborative partnership that I have found most effective.” - Charlie Choe
“My brother recommended the TPI program to get in shape to improve my game. Originally my research to find an expert was to help with physical training. However, Marcus Park’s name came up and he could also be a golf coach. After the initial TPI Assessment Marcus helped me refine my swing and showed me how to gain 20 more yards on my drives through specific exercises. Two more follow up sessions have helped my short game and putting. In several months, I was able to lower my handicap by 5 strokes with Marcus. The best part of working with Marcus, is he communicates in a way I can understand, by explaining what the change is doing and why. This has been very valuable when practicing alone after the session. Marcus is a remarkable coach; I highly recommend him.” - Joseph McNamara
“Marcus is an excellent teacher! Very patient and understanding on making sure you have not just the head knowledge but also the feeling! When I started working with Marcus I was a 19 handicap, in just a year and a half I’m down to a 9! His love and passion for the game make him a coach I recommend to all my friends!” - Nate King

As a Certified Golf Teaching Professional, I enjoy working with golfers to help them establish a strong foundation for their game, based on fundamentals, recognizing that every golf swing is unique. I have helped many adult players break the 100, 90 and even 80 scoring barriers through instruction and confidence building. I believe the mental side of the game is just as important as the technical side. I have also worked with Junior Club Champions in multiple age groups, coached junior players to Drive, Chip & Putt Local and Regional Qualification and worked with high school age players in top programs. I work closely with students of all ages,to develop a positive, winning attitude where 'winning' is playing with confidence and enjoying this game we love.
In addition to Operation 36, USGTF, US Kids and Positive Coaching Alliance Certifications as a Golf Teaching Professional, I hold a USSF National Youth 'A' Coaching License and a Dutch Coaching Certificate, as a soccer coach. I have more than 25 years of player development experience, guiding youth players into top soccer programs at American University, Clemson, Kentucky, James Madison University, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, University of Virginia and Virginia Tech, among others.
Testimonials:
"I had been struggling to unlearn bad swing habits from baseball, and Neil's help was instrumental in helping me figure out how to strike the ball more consistently. His patient approach gave me space to test things out. I also got very good practical tips on how to improve." Alex D. ~ Student
"Neil has coached my son for nearly 10 years. He is more than just an instructor. He is a mentor, a guide and a life coach. He has guided my son through numerous tournaments, a Junior Club Championship, a Regional Qualifier in the National Drive, Chip & Putt Championships and, this year, to a starting spot on his high school golf team as a Freshman. He is now on track to a college golf career, thanks to Neil." Erin W. ~ Parent
"I was introduced to Neil who was the golf instructor for the Operation 36 (Op36) Program at VGC in 2023. I had taken group golf classes several years ago but never felt like I learned enough to get out on the course. I have competitively played several sports and mastered the skills rather quickly but was thinking golf was maybe not a sport for me. When I did get out on the course I would get discouraged with my play and found myself making excuses to not play.
Signing up for Op36 was going to be my last go at giving golf a try. I found Neil's approach to teaching golf was not a one-size-fits-all like I had experienced at prior golf group lessons. He took the time to get to know his students and their strengths and how to use those skills to correct and improve skills. I didn't always get it right after his correction but with persistence and encouragement I found I did have the ability to play and enjoy the play. It is because of Neil's approach to teaching golf that I plan to continue learning and improving my game under Neil's guidance as long as he is a golf instructor at VGC." - Fawn F. ~ Student
"Thanks for the top notch instruction. I see improvement in my short game already!" - Niall
"I'm already very appreciative, Neil. I found lessons with you so valuable." - Sarah
"Your lesson on process was spot on! I played 9 today and abandoned all my previous putting processes. I had one of my better putting days ever." - Rob
"Thanks for all your guidance! I know I still have a lot to learn about golf but before your classes I couldn’t hit the side of a barn and here I am hitting a hole in one from 50 yards!" - Hector

I first learned to play golf when I was 10 years old, and my first teacher was my father, but then I put my clubs down to ride horses and run track. Fast forward to college when I came home on Spring break, played again with my dad,I fell in love with the sport all over again! For the next 10 years I played off and on when I could, but, I was a cubicle dweller and didn’t have much time to work on my game. As fate would have it, the recession came along in 2007-2008 and I was laid off with so many other people across the country. It turned out to be the best thing to happen to me! I was restless and not happy in the midst of the rat race. The recession gave me the chance to sit down and figure out what I wanted to do and the answer was golf! I moved back home, took a few ‘odd jobs’ and worked on my game 6 days a week for almost 4 years! I combined fitness, strength training, lessons and countless hours of practice and repetition to improve my game. I was terrible for a long time. My dream was to become an LPGA Professional but I needed the game to match. I worked my way down from a handicap that was “off-the-charts-high” to a 2! In 2013 I moved to Northern Virginia, still following my golf dreams. Life is just like golf; there are hazards, bad breaks from good shots, incredible lows and then you sink that long putt or chip in for birdie and you are back in it! I completed all of the requirements to get my LPGA Teaching card in 2016. My journey wasn’t done there though.
Now as a LPGA T&CP I am a scratch golfer. I know what it takes to make the necessary improvements to shave the strokes off of your game. What are your goals? What are your personal victories that you are looking to achieve on the course? I can help you find your personal best. Whether it is hitting the ball for the first time or it is shooting under par, let me help you improve your game, and take the next steps in your golf journey.
As part of The Raspberry Golf Academy Family I will be focused on The Birdie Belief Project, LPGA Girls Golf and Rounds With Robyn. These programs are designed to start, engage and retain women and girls into the game of golf! "It is imperative that you learn the whole game of golf and not just the golf swing if you really want to lower your score."
Tim’s Philosophy: I want to provide an environment where a student can be comfortable and learn to the best of their abilities. Philosophy: I believe people play golf for fun. Fun for you may be making a run at your club or state championship or it may be hanging with friends on a Sunday afternoon. There are about as many reasons for taking golf lessons as there are different types of swings. In 2008, Patrick McGuire had a vision that was years ahead of his time, a vision for a golf academy comprised of a unified team of coaches with the most innovative technology available. He wanted an academy that taught more than just the full swing, but also short game, putting, course management, and so much more, all while using scientific data to make the students better.
Nearly 10 years later, McGuire’s dream has become a reality as the Raspberry Golf Academy has become the premier destination for golf instruction in Northern Virginia and beyond. Having expanded from one studio at Raspberry Falls Golf and Hunt Club in Leesburg, Va. to five locations in Virginia and one in Pennsylvania with a growing team of experts, the academy is booming and students are dropping strokes from their scores every day.
McGuire has established a remarkable reputation worldwide, as he coaches professional golfers and elite amateurs around the globe. His most successful student is European Tour champion Paul Peterson, winner of the 2016 Czech Masters. Despite not being a long hitter, Peterson has led the European Tour in birdies. Even as busy as Peterson is traveling the world to play in tournaments, he makes sure to schedule regular visits to see McGuire in Leesburg.
In addition to coaching some of the best golfers in the world, McGuire also takes the time to properly train his staff every year in order to ensure the quality of the product. In the winter of 2016-17, McGuire spent several months with a group of seven coaches, taking the training to a whole new level. Those seven coaches plus McGuire have earned the right to be called Certified Performance Coaches, the only instructors in the Northern Virginia market with this distinction. There are performance-based programs offered by these eight coaches across multiple RGA locations that can be life-changing to any golfer of any ability; these programs span multiple pillars including full swing, short game and putting.
One of the Certified Performance Coaches and a director of instruction for RGA, John Miller, has also seen an unprecedented level of success among his clients. He has coached the last four high school state champions in the state of Virginia.
Along with talented staff with extensive training, the academy also has the most state-of-the-art technology. A lesson with an RGA coach includes video analysis, FlightScope launch monitors, K-VEST 3D swing analysis, and the SAM PuttLab. With all of these tools at the instructor’s disposal, there is no guessing as to what to work on, and everything is based on actual data.
Beyond the RGA staff, the academy has also partnered with the most brilliant mental coaches and personal trainers around, making the experience all encompassing.
“Better information in the hands of a good coach is going to make their players better.”
- Patrick McGuire
