Teaching Philosophy: Keep it simple and understandable.  With a lot of confusing jargon on tv and in golf magazines, my goal is to teach the game of golf, the golf swing, and ball flight laws, in the simplest terms.  And to emphasize the role of the shoulders, arms, and hands in making contact with the golf ball.

Background: Began playing golf at age 5.  With driver’s license in hand, worked as cart boy at Pasatiempo GC in Santa Cruz, CA, followed by Assistant Professional at Santa Barbara Golf Club.  Upon moving to the east coast, the past 22 years have included Head Professional positions at East Potomac Park GC and the Armed Forces Retirement Home GC in Washington, DC .  Along the way, experience gained through Ping club fitting certification, Advantage Golf certification (Dr. Greg Rose, biomechanics) while teaching hundreds of students in group classes, individual lessons, and junior camps.
