Philosophy Get your body in the proper place and a good swing will follow…a connected body leads to a connected swing. I believe strongly in fundamentals, short game development, and the establishment of a quality Mental Approach to the game that includes managing the course and managing emotions. Golf is a Game and, as a game, it should be enjoyed. My role is to take the student's goals and desires, mesh them with their current abilities and formulate a plan for improvement and enjoyment of the Game. Together, we will develop “your” swing, not fit you into someone else’s… Golf Influences Homer Kelley – "Positions guarantee nothing unless you know the relations they are supposed to facilitate." Bob Rotella – "Play to play great. Don’t play not to play poorly. Love the challenge of the day, whatever it may be." Annika Sorenstam – "Every Shot Must Have a Purpose. There is a “think box” and a “play box”."

Student Testimonials "The people I play with say my swing is greatly improved, and amazingly, my drives are even in the fairway much more frequently" – B. Althoff.
"I would have to describe my experience at Raspberry Golf Academy as one that has opened up many doors in my golfing world. I was able to change my golf grip in two weeks which is unthinkable in the game of golf; however, the academy made that completely possible and encouraging. Coach Dave is really chill, yet focused to do what he needs to; however, quirk fun at the same time. He keeps me on my toes. I would recommend Raspberry Golf Academy to the person who is serious about working hard alongside their instructor and who is willing to put in the hard work. Anni
My overall experience at Raspberry Golf Academy was great, and it really is a spectacular course and Academy. The Academy has helped me lower my golf scores and enjoy golf a lot more. Since taking lessons with the Academy and Coach Dave my golf scores have decreased by about 6-8 strokes and now have a great new golf swing.
Coach Dave was a great instructor because he kept me relaxed during practice and lessons but still pushed me to do my best and give myself many goals to strive for. He completely changed my swing and has helped my golf game improve dramatically.
I would definitely recommend this Academy to a friend because of its great staff, great course and great help it provided for my golf game. Christian
Our experience with Raspberry Golf Academy, and specifically Dave Barton, has been exceptional. My two teenagers (ages 17 and 15) had both had golf lessons before, but their game rose to a whole new level under the instruction and guidance of Dave. One of the things that impressed me most was Dave's interest in improving not just the mechanics of their swings, but also the mental approach to playing golf. I highly recommend Dave and Raspberry Golf Academy to anybody--regardless of age or golf skills--looking to improve their golf game. John
